Ion Exchange Resin Media
Softening/Demineraliser
Ion Exchange Resins for water treatment systems manufactured by Bayer and Purolite are available for a wide range of applications including Base Exchange Softening, Dealkalisation, Nitrate removal, Organic Scavenging and Demineralisation.
As well as the standard grades of strongly and weakly acidic Cation and strongly and weakly basic Anion Exchange resins, Monodisperse (uniform bead size) resins are also available for many applications which can offer a higher operating capacity with a lower pressure loss, and special food grades for softening and dealkalisation are available.
Ion Exchange Resins currently available include the following;
Cation Exchange Resins
Strongly acidic – Available in Sodium and hydrogen forms for softening and demineralisation.
Weakly acidic – Dealkalisation and cartridges for domestic appliances.
Anion Exchange Resins
Strongly basic – Demineralisation and Organic Scavengers.
Weakly basic – Demineralisation of organic solutions (sugars etc) and high organic waters.
Mixbed Exchange Resins
Strongly basic – Demineralisation and Organic Scavengers.
Weakly basic – Demineralisation of organic solutions (sugars etc) and high organic waters.
